Questions about your data or this policy?

Introduction

My Storage Hub ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use our website mystoragehub.co.uk and our storage services.

We are the data controller for the personal information we process. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

The data controller is My Storage Hub, Catheralls Industrial Estate, Brookhill Way, Pinfold Lane, Buckley, Flintshire, CH7 3PS. Our nominated representative is Mr. Steve Ward.

Information We Collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal information:

Information you provide to us: your name, email address, telephone number, postal address, company name (if applicable), and details you provide when submitting an enquiry, requesting a quote, registering for a storage unit, or contacting us by any means.

Information about your storage account: the storage unit allocated to you, access codes, payment details, and the items you declare for storage and insurance purposes.

Information collected automatically: details of your visits to our website, including traffic data, location data, weblogs, browser type, device information, and other communication data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Information collected through our administrative tools: when an authorised administrator connects a Google Ads account, we access campaign performance data (such as cost, clicks, impressions and conversions) from that account via the Google Ads API, solely to display reporting within our internal admin portal.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

To respond to your enquiries and provide you with quotes, pricing and information about our storage services.

To carry out our contractual obligations, including managing your storage unit, processing payments, and providing access to our facility.

To send you follow-up communications following an enquiry, which may include your personalised quote, reminders, useful tips and facility information.

With your consent, to send you promotional communications about special offers, discounts and news. You can opt out at any time by emailing info@mystoragehub.co.uk or using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

To measure and improve how our website and services perform, including through analytics tools.

To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, and to protect the security of our facility, staff and customers.

Access to Your Google Data

Our admin portal offers the ability to connect a Google Ads account so that campaign performance can be displayed within our internal reporting dashboard.

When an authorised administrator connects a Google Ads account, we use the Google Ads API to request access to campaign reporting data only (such as spend, clicks, impressions and conversions). We do not access, store or share the content of your Google emails, documents, contacts, or any other Google service.

We store an OAuth refresh token so that we can continue to retrieve reporting data on your behalf; we do not store your Google password. You may revoke our access at any time by disconnecting the account within our admin portal, or by removing access in your Google Account security settings.

We do not share Google Ads data with any third party. Access is restricted to authorised administrators of My Storage Hub.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in the following circumstances:

With trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (for example email delivery, payment processing and analytics), under contract and with appropriate safeguards.

With our insurer's claims handling agents, where necessary to process a claim for loss or damage to stored goods.

Where required to do so by law, regulation, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our business, our customers or others.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

Enquiry data is retained to allow us to respond to and follow up on your request. Account and contractual data is retained for the duration of your storage agreement and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. All information you provide is stored on secure servers and accessed only by authorised personnel.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls and encryption in transit, to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.

Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our website so that we can improve it.

Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data. You can manage cookies through your browser settings or at allaboutcookies.org. Disabling cookies may affect some features of our website.
