Climb Snowdon Challenge II and traverse the Snowdonia National Park coming in from the West. This can be done in 1 day, with or without accommodation. Your guide is a fully qualified Mountain Leader (ML) at a ratio of one ML per group of 10. This is an ‘Open Event’ and, you will be joining other like minded trekkers in groups of a maximum size of 10.
The route starts & finishes from the small mountain village of Carmel, 6 miles east of Caernarfon. You begin the outward journey as we guide you over Moel Tryfan and Mynydd Mawr, the latter giving great views of Snowdon. Before descending into the village of Rhyd Ddu, where the ascent of Snowdon begins in earnest up the Rhyd Ddu Path, to summit Snowdon, the tallest mountain in Wales. The descent makes it’s way down the Ranger Path, into the valley and back through the other mountain village of Y Fron, before finishing back in Carmel.
