34 years the Chester Half has been annually taking place, it is now one of the UK’s longest established and highly recognised half marathons. The marathon starts and finishs in the historic Roman/Medieval destination city of Chester.
The organisers of the 2016 Marathon are both well experienced runners themselves are are passionate about delivering a fantastic event. They have set out to be what for them would be the perfect race; a premier quality, competitively priced race which caters for the needs of runners of all abilities and speeds, combined with friendliness and personal touches which are unique.
In 2015 the mens record was set by Vincent Boit with a time of 1:02:21, the womens record was set by Amanda Crook in 2013 with a time of 1:14:32.
